The Missionary Journal of William Jackson: March 1898 – April 1899 compiled by Jeanette Hurst

The The Missionary Journal of William Jackson: March 1898 – April 1899 compiled by Jeanette Hurst (granddaughter) is a transcription of a journal William kept while serving an LDS mission to the Indian Territory (primarily Texas and Kansas).  The introduction is a very well written summary of William’s mission.  William is the son of Samuel Jackson and Hanna Marie Jaques and was born on August 21, 1871 in Nephi, Utah.  He served two LDS missions.  The first to Texas and Kansas from 1898 to 1900.  The second to England from 1909 to 1911.

Jackson Family Historical Accounts by Donald L. Haynie

The Jackson Family Historical Accounts by Donald L. Haynie is a 96 page collection of histories, stories and other information about the Jacksons.  It is the source of several histories on this website.  I also found many new histories and commentaries that I have never seen.  For example, pages 37-45 include funeral remarks for Jane E. Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Jr., Samuel Glenn Jackson and William G. Jackson.  I have also been interested in learning more about Samuel Jackson, Sr. second wife, Martha Ann Jackson.  I found her short history on pages 30-32 very interesting.
